Two climbers - Arnaud Bosset, 29, a Swiss citizen and Thomas Luis Ricard (45), a French citizen living in Switzerland - died following a fall on the Matterhorn.
The bodies were recovered this morning by the Aosta Valley Mountain Rescue and transported to Cervinia.
The alarm was triggered yesterday due to the non-return downstream of the consortium.
The two fell in the area of the Lion's Crest.
The bodies were found at approximately 3,100 meters above sea level.
The financial police of Cervinia also participated in the operations.
The two climbers fell for about 400 meters.
Well equipped, they proceeded tied in preserves.
The bodies were found near a canal.
There are currently no witnesses to what happened: one could have slipped, taking with him, in the void, the climbing partner,
or they may have been hit by a stone.
It is not known at the moment when the accident may have occurred: on this point their family could provide useful information regarding the itinerary followed.
The only known element is a reservation, for Saturday evening, at the Capanna Carrel refuge (3,830 meters) where, however, they never arrived.
