Tartous-Sana
The poetry meeting, which was held today at the headquarters of the party group in the town of Qumsiyeh in Tartous countryside, included a collection of various social, literary, national and sentimental poems presented by poets Ahmed Hassan, Mahmoud Habib and Ahlam Ghanem.
The meeting began with the poet Ahmed Mahmoud Hassan by presenting a lyrical poem entitled “My Embrace” and another entitled “The Most Beautiful Women Poets” and “I Believe You Are Thirty Years” from the well-balanced, rhymed Al-Tafi’ila poetry. He recites it for the first time, “If only the poem would not reveal itself.”
The poet Ahlam Ghanem, a member of the Arab Writers Union, recited a patriotic and sentimental poem entitled “Why is this ruin” from vertical and weighted poetry, addressing the Syrian conscience and steadfastness against this devastation experienced by the world as a whole. With a lyrical poem specific to the Qumsiyeh region, entitled “The Kiss of the Kingdom,” from the poetry of Al-Tafilah as well.
The poet Mahmoud Habib presented various poems between the activation poem, “It is necessary to clarify” and modern poetry with the poem “When your lamp will be extinguished.”
The meeting came at the invitation of the Cultural Center in Qumsieh, according to the Director of Culture in Tartous, Kamal Badran, explaining that the cultural activity comes within the framework of keenness and permanent follow-up of cultural work in all parts of the governorate.
He pointed out that this event is the culmination of cooperation between it and the events and institutions in the local community, stressing that the distinction of the Qumsiyeh Cultural Center comes through its focus on children's activities and attracting them to various activities during the summer vacation.
