The Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev stressed that NATO's decision to declare Russia an enemy leads to an escalation of tension and destabilizes security in Europe, as it contradicts the founding law between Russia and NATO.
Russia Today website quoted Patrushev as saying during a meeting in Khabarovsk in the Russian Far East today, "Russia, which defends its national interests and sovereignty, has been declared an enemy by the United States and its allies, which contradicts the ideological documents, including those adopted at the NATO summit in Madrid," noting that The United States and its henchmen refused to open a constructive dialogue with Russia on strategic stability and completely ignored Moscow's demands for security guarantees.
Patrushev added, "The military infrastructure of NATO is approaching our borders. Active work is being done to strengthen forces and military equipment on the eastern side, and to include Finland and Sweden in the alliance, and a new military alliance Okos has been created," explaining that these decisions and measures do not lead to an escalation of tension and destabilization of European security. Not only does it blatantly contradict the Constitutive Act on Relations between Russia and NATO, which is still legally valid.
Patrushev explained that the Russian special military operation in Ukraine will achieve its goals despite the United States and other Western countries providing military aid to Kiev, pointing out that Moscow was forced to launch a special military operation because the spread of neo-Nazism in Ukraine and the activity of biological laboratories in its territory are part of the US military biological program, as well as The plans announced by the Kyiv authorities to develop nuclear weapons and join NATO posed serious threats not only to the security of Russia, but to the entire world.
