Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Morziaev discussed in a phone call today ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between Moscow and Tashkent and work to develop it.
According to a Kremlin statement carried by RIA Novosti, the two presidents discussed issues on the bilateral agenda, especially in the trade and economic fields, noting that the discussions also touched on the timetable for future contacts between the two presidents.
Russia had announced its support for the efforts of the Uzbek leadership to achieve stability in Karakalpakstan.
