Teach me.. A free educational initiative for the children of martyrs in Homs

Believing in the importance of their educational role in building generations and their societal responsibilities towards the children of those who sacrificed their blood for the sake of the homeland, a group of teachers in Homs launched a free initiative entitled (Teach Me) targeting the children of martyrs from students of basic and secondary education certificates, at Fidaa Al-Khatib School in Wadi Al-Dahab neighborhood.

The initiative’s official, Najwa Al-Abbas, pointed out to SANA Youth that she launched this initiative with a group of her fellow teachers, believing in the importance of the message of science and its role in building generations. She said, “Through the initiative, we tried to offer something simple to the children of martyrs, especially in light of the current economic conditions and within our limited capabilities.”

In turn, the physics and chemistry teacher, Maryam Bashir, indicated that she participated in the initiative to express her gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices of the martyrs who gave their blood for the sake of the country, pointing out the importance of these free courses as they contribute to enhancing students' educational capabilities and reduce part of the material burdens on the families of the martyrs.

For his part, Mathematics teacher Mahmoud Al-Salama pointed to the importance of such initiatives as they target large numbers of students and their role in reducing material expenses for the families of the martyrs, especially in light of the high prices of private lessons, and to continue this initiative in order to attract the largest possible number of beneficiaries.
