Two UN peacekeepers were killed when an explosive device exploded in northern Mali.
"The explosion of an explosive device between the village of Tessalit and the city of Gao killed two peacekeepers and wounded five others," Reuters quoted Olivier Salgado, spokesman for the United Nations peacekeeping mission, MINUSMA, as saying in a tweet on Twitter, without giving further details.
Mali has been witnessing a state of instability since 2012 due to armed terrorist groups affiliated with Al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorist organizations operating in the Triangle border region with Niger and Burkina Faso.
