Uzbek authorities said Tuesday that rockets fired from Afghanistan had hit its territory, without exploding or causing casualties.
"On July 5, 2022 around 4:20 p.m. (...) the fall of five rockets, probably launched from Afghan territory, was observed" near the border, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“There were no explosions when the rockets landed, there were no human casualties and no destruction.
Minor damage was caused to four private homes” in the border town of Termez, the ministry said.
The authorities added "to implement the necessary measures to establish the causes of this incident" in "collaboration with the Afghan side".
