In front of the border post of the city of Medyka, in eastern Poland, the queue to return to Ukraine is three times longer than that to come to Europe.
Volunteers agree on the reason for these returns: most Ukrainians simply want to return home, to find their loved ones.
Even if they don't necessarily think life is safer now than it was two months ago.
These new flows are visible in refugee centers close to the Ukrainian border.
A few kilometers from Medyka, in the town of Przemyśl, the disused Tesco shopping center has been converted into a visitor centre.
Bed occupancy has fallen by 80% compared to what it was at the start of the war.

At the beginning of March, people were practically sleeping on top of each other, we reached 1,500 people per night.
Two weeks ago, we were barely 300
,” says Gabe, an American volunteer.
