The mood in the building, environment and traffic committee of the municipality of Wartenberg has shifted as far as future development on the Zieglerberg is concerned.

During an inspection of the site, it became clear that the development of the green area there is under no circumstances capable of winning a majority.

Wartenberg – As reported, planner Franz Pezold received praise from all sides during the first consultation for his design.

Even Michael Paulini, who had already warned at the SPD general meeting that one had to "be careful here", had called the draft, which had included a single-row and small-scale development as an option on the left side uphill along the road, "moderate".

However, there was also the wish for an on-site meeting, and this has now taken place.

Before that, the groups must have checked out the site, and they agreed.

Paulini called his statements in the previous meeting a "misjudgment" and was probably not alone.

Josef Sedlmaier (CSU) was completely against sacrificing nature for "commerce".

The committee took its time for the site, especially since many local residents had come.

Various building requests were assessed on site.

In the upper area, the committee members could certainly imagine a certain structural development.

The height development should then be based on the already built house number 32, so that it does not get too high.

The committee was unanimous, so that almost all subsequent resolutions were passed unanimously: the wide green belt on the left side when driving in the direction of the forest kindergarten is now to be kept free of buildings.

It was precisely here that further building requests were received by fax in the town hall in good time before the meeting: an even more intensive development, also in the second row.

Comment Mayor Christian Pröbst (CSU):

"We just take note of it now," and that's about it.

Nobody wanted to discuss the paper.

Planner Pezold now has the task of pouring this new situation into a plan that also stands up in court.

"We need a positive planning target," he told the committee.

A so-called prevention plan should not be.

The bottom line is that there may even be a change in the land use plan, with which the said meadow slope is completely removed from a possible development.

The biotope in the study area was marked as "to be preserved" for further planning considerations.

That an existing shed would be replaced by a new build was indisputable, as were the plans of a motor vehicle appraiser in the upper area of the area.
