A man and a woman, aged 34 and 24, were imprisoned. They are suspected of being semi-wholesalers who supplied the northern Y

Twenty-four hours after the discovery of 129 kg of cannabis resin, a man and a woman, aged 34 and 24, were indicted on Thursday in Versailles (Yvelines), before being imprisoned for drug trafficking .

The 30-year-old is suspected of being a semi-wholesaler who supplied the north of Yvelines.

At the beginning of May, the investigators of the urban security receive information concerning an electrician who would feed the local drug traffic.

To carry out their investigations, the police have a license plate number.

Officials identify their suspect.

This young man, known to the police, was placed under surveillance for several weeks.

The police discover that the drugs are stored in a box located rue Jean-Moulin and in another garage in Mantes-la-Ville.

They see a young woman appear in the entourage of the dealer who seems to participate in his activities.

They learn that a delivery has just been made and decide to take action.

She slept in a box full of cannabis

Around 1:55 p.m. on Wednesday, officials from the narcotics group searched the boxes and found 108 kg of cannabis resin, 21 kg of grass, 22,000 euros in cash and 16 g of white powder.

They arrest a young woman who lives in the premises of Mantes-la-Jolie and traffickers him at his home.

The suspect maintains that she is not involved in trafficking.

The 30-year-old admits that he sells drugs and maintains that this woman who slept with cannabis would not be involved in his business.

Cannabis is produced in Morocco and traded in Spain before being transported to the Paris region by importers.

It is delivered to semi-wholesalers who supply drug deal points and call centers which now deliver consumers directly to their homes after an order by SMS.

In 2021, police, gendarmes and customs officers seized 72.4 tonnes of resin and 39.5 tonnes of grass.

The Paris region has around 600,000 regular cannabis users.
