At least 25 people were killed and more than 40 injured in heavy rains in Balochistan, southwest Pakistan.
"The heavy rains caused damage to more than 200 houses and caused other material losses," Xinhua news agency quoted the Director-General of the Balochistan Disaster Management Authority Nasir Ahmad Nasir as saying today.
Heavy rains began to hit different parts of Balochistan since last Monday and continued to rain, causing several accidents, while the provincial capital, Quetta, declared a disaster area after the death of eight people, including children.
