At about 3:00 pm today (6th), officers from the Task Force of Traffic Kowloon West Region found a BMW private car with suspicious behavior at the junction of Nelson Street and Dyebufang Street in Mong Kok, so they stopped and checked.
After the BMW turned into Saiye Street along Nelouchon Street, it stopped at the opposite side of the China Travel Service. The 36-year-old driver surnamed Zhuang Nan got out of the car for investigation. Unexpectedly, when the police asked him to show his driver's license, he suddenly ran into trouble and ran along Nelouchun. Street flees in the direction of Dyeing House Street.
Two police officers followed and chased him, and finally stopped him at Heibu Street. After investigation, it was found that he was suspected of driving while the license was suspended, and he was arrested. He was then taken back to the BMW private car for further search.
Another male passenger in the BMW was also taken to the police car by police for investigation.
Police later called police dogs to search the BMW involved, but no drugs or other contraband were found.
The police seized a license plate that did not belong to the BMW involved in the trunk of the car, and then seized the license plate.
The BMW male driver was arrested for driving without third-party insurance, obstructing police officers from performing their duties, and possessing false documents. The police officers covered his head with a black cloth and took him back to the police station for investigation.
