Penzberg – A 71-year-old cyclist was hit by a car in Penzberg on Wednesday (July 6) and suffered life-threatening injuries.
According to the police, a woman from Freiburg (23) drove her car on Fischhaberstrasse towards Seeshaupter Strasse around 11:15 a.m.
The driver was about to overtake a cyclist (71) when, according to the police, she suddenly turned left towards the opposite side of the road.
It came into contact with the car, from which the cyclist fell and was seriously injured.
The Penzberg girl was taken to the Murnau accident clinic by the rescue service with life-threatening head injuries.
An expert was called in to clarify how the accident happened.
Apparently there was no damage to the bike, the damage to the car is estimated at around 50 euros.
According to initial investigations, the cyclist was not wearing a helmet, according to Matthias Krümpel, head of the Penzberg police inspection.
