"The situation is escalating":

Israel's ambassador to the UN, Gilad Ardan, last night (Tuesday) sent an urgent letter of complaint to the Security Council and the UN Secretary General requesting the evacuation of containers placed on the Israeli border, against the background of Hezbollah activity on the Lebanese border. The letter was accompanied by a number of photos proving the presence of the transportation container in the area and the surveillance activity of the terrorist operatives.

"Act now and immediately to evacuate the containers used for Hezbollah's intelligence surveillance against Israel. The new reality on the border is escalating the situation and threatening to set the region on fire," Arden wrote.

He added: "Under the guise of an environmental organization, Hezbollah is expanding its terrorist activities and reaching a few meters from the northern border of Israel and into the area of activity of the UNIFIL force.

The infrastructure of "Green without Borders" is intended to monitor Israeli soldiers and serve Hezbollah for the purpose of storing weapons caches, hiding attack tunnels, points for concentrating army forces and more.

This is military activity for everything that is carried out by Hezbollah terrorists and not on behalf of innocent environmental activists.

"The responsibility for Hezbollah's activities in Lebanon rests with the Lebanese government and we expect it to take immediate action to halt Hezbollah's military buildup. The current reality does not allow UNIFIL to carry out its role and if the UN wants to prevent the situation from escalating, it must act effectively."

The letter was sent against the background of continued intensification of Hezbollah's terrorist activity on the northern border and in the UNIFIL area of activity, which violates Security Council Resolution 1701 adopted after the Second Lebanon War.
