Battles of the list: Gal Hirsch candidate for the Likud armor, Nir Orbach walks away Israel today

2022-07-06T14:17:26.084Z

Netanyahu is conducting extensive tests these days regarding each of the armored candidates • It seems that Idit Silman will get a place on the list, compared to a right-wing party that the Likud feels less committed to.

The battle for the Likud list is intensifying:

while Knesset members have already begun the tough primaries struggle, Netanyahu must make a decision on the identities of three candidates who will receive armor in the party on his behalf.

"Israel Today" has learned that one of the candidates, for whom the decision has apparently already been made, is Brigadier General Gal Hirsch.

Netanyahu is currently conducting comprehensive tests on each of the armored candidates.

According to the tests, Hirsch addresses wider audiences on the right that Netanyahu and other Likud members may find it difficult to reach.

Hirsch is also considered a suitable figure for the state campaign that Netanyahu seeks to lead in order to reach the so-called soft right-wing voters.

Hirsch himself says he has not heard of it.

MK Nir Orbach may actually find himself off the Likud list.

As you may recall, Orbach debated for a long time until the decision was made whether to resign from the coalition and vote in favor of dissolving the Knesset, but in the end Naftali Bennett preceded him and announced the dissolution himself.

Due to this, the Likud is no longer in a hurry to give Orbach the armor.

One of the options that came up in Orbach's context in case he asked for armor, to contact MK Smutritz and ask to reserve Orbach with him.

The person who will receive armor in the Likud is MK Idit Silman, who retired from the coalition. The location of the three armored vehicles is still unknown and will be determined later. In the previous elections, the three armored seats were 10, 26 and 36.
