Due to delays in the progress of negotiations with Smutrich, chairman of Jewish Power, a separate run was held • Rabbi Amichai Eliyahu previously ran for the Knesset on behalf of the National Union Party

First publication: The chairman of Jewish Power, Itamar Ben Gvir, is considering offering a place on the list of Jewish power to the Knesset for the son of Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, Rabbi Amichai Eliyahu, Israel Today has learned.

Ben Gvir wants to unite with Smutrich, but due to delays in the progress of the negotiations, he recently held a separate run.

Rabbi Amichai Eliyahu serves as chairman of the Association of Community Rabbis, which unites a long line of community rabbis. He is the son of Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu who is a well-known rabbi in the national religious sector.

Rabbi Amichai Eliyahu previously ran for the Knesset on behalf of the National Union Party.

This week he wrote a Facebook post against Smutrich's primaries claiming it is irrelevant if not all parties in the sector are partners in the move.

Ben Gvir responded: "I do not refer to the names I meet with. I only say that I meet every day with dozens of valuable and wonderful figures inside and outside the party, most of whom deserve to be included in a powerful Jewish list for the upcoming Knesset. "And of course we have not yet offered places and we have certainly not decided on any candidate. One thing is certain: a list of Jewish power will be diverse, valuable. It will have candidates from the periphery, the Negev and the Galilee, the settlement and the city.
