The energy crisis is hitting Germany with all its might.
In some places, hot water is already being rationed, and in Bavaria, too, people are thinking about how to throttle electricity and gas.
Now the time has come: The first housing cooperative introduces times for hot water.
But tenants in Bavaria can breathe again - this is a residential complex of 600 apartments in Saxony.
As stated in a notice by the Dippoldiswalde housing cooperative, the operating times for heating and hot water are being adjusted due to the high gas and electricity prices.
Accordingly, the heating will be switched off completely until September.
Hot water will be limited in the future.
In the future, hot showers will only be possible from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In the evening, hot water is then only available from 4 p.m. or 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Saxon example is not an isolated case.
In Hamburg, too, warm water could be rationed in the event of a gas emergency, as Environment Senator Jens Kerstan (Greens) has already announced.
Bavaria: Municipalities are examining where gas can be saved - ice stadiums endangered
The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs assesses the situation differently.
Even if the emergency level is declared, "no one has to freeze in their apartment or just take a cold shower," says a spokeswoman.
"This is currently not an issue for us," said a spokesman for the GWG municipal housing company in Munich.
It's still voluntary.
Bernd Buckenhofer, board member of the Bavarian Association of Cities, encourages "responsible action".
Local authorities are already examining where gas can be saved.
For example, winter activities are restricted in Bad Tölz.
An ice hockey camp that should have taken place during the Pentecost holidays was recently canceled, and summer operations in the ice stadium are also cancelled.
Sauna sessions are no longer possible there on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Ice skaters could also be hit in the state capital.
Planning for autumn/winter operations in the Prinzregentenstadion will begin in autumn.
Then, according to Stadtwerke, “the current situation is also taken into account”.

Bavaria's answer to the energy crisis: colder swimming pools are just the beginning
The city of Munich has already lowered the temperature to 22 degrees in its outdoor pools.
It's even cooler in Grafrath (district of Fürstenfeldbruck).
Mayor Markus Kennerknecht announced there that there would no longer be a 20 degree warm swimming pool.
It will also affect users of the gym in the future: "We will no longer be able to illuminate the hall until midnight."

There are many ways to save.
There are communities that dim streetlights or turn off traffic lights.
In Munich, the conversion of the coal block in the North thermal power station to natural gas, which was planned for autumn, has been postponed.
In addition, the Stadtwerke (SWM) are reactivating two oil burners and expanding geothermal energy.
Gas, electricity and oil are becoming increasingly expensive.
For many tenants and homeowners, this is a disaster.
This can be done to reduce costs.
