: US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken meets Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi at the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Bali.
The US State Department said it wanted to reaffirm its commitment to "work with international partners to address global challenges."
According to the ministry, this includes the food and energy crisis, "and the threat to international order posed by Russia's ongoing war against Ukraine." The meeting of the two foreign ministers is to take place bilaterally, as one of several meetings.
Most recently, the United States had pushed with moderate success for China to turn away from Russia.
According to the Russian embassy in Jakarta, Sergei Lavrov will also travel to Bali.
A bilateral meeting between him and Blinken is not planned, according to the US State Department.
Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (Greens) will also take part in the meeting in Bali.
