It was downgraded from category 3 to category 2 and is expected to continue to decrease in intensity as it moves off the Mexican coast.


According to information from the National Water Commission of Mexico (Conagua), Bonnie is gradually weakening and "is located off the coast of Jalisco and the south of Baja California Sur, causing waves of 1 to 2 meters in height on the coast of Jalisco and Colima, decreasing in the course of the day".

The maximum speed of the current hurricane winds is 155 km/h sustained, with gusts of 196 km/h.

Bonnie will continue to move away from the coast and would be downgraded to category 1 this Wednesday.
