The head of the Civil Military Administration of the Kharkov region Vitaly Ganchev announced that the authorities and residents of the liberated parts of the region are seeking to join Russia.
"Our administration tends to seek to join Russia and all residents now see the legal documents that we issue, they see the use of the ruble and how it occupies the main place in the economy, and they also ask a lot about the possibility of obtaining Russian citizenship," Ganchev was quoted as saying by the Russian TASS news agency.
A member of the Military and Civilian Administration of the Zaporozhye region, Vladimir Rogov, had announced earlier that the region, after its complete liberation from the Ukrainian Nazis, would join Russia.
