A great first for the founder Valérie Messika, who has always been involved in the family business of cut stones, but who here signs her first foray into the world of the much desired rough cuts.

Barely a few months ago, Valérie Messika invited those who have always accompanied her to come and discover the revival of her first historic boutique on rue Saint-Honoré.

The path traveled since the founding of his eponymous brand was then obvious.

We still remember with emotion the surprise that resonated on Place Vendôme when the woman who had precisely wanted to open her case far from this seraglio announced in 2015 the opening of her integrated high jewelry workshop.

And yet, this step forward was not surprising for Valérie who always grew up in the footsteps of her father, André Messika, a famous dealer in precious stones, who always reserved for her vintages of white, yellow or even extraordinary roses.

This was without taking into account the determination of Valérie's brother, Ivan Messika, who recently entered the battle.

His first victory at the start of 2020?

Nothing less than a 110 carat rough diamond from the famous Lucara mine in Botswana.

There followed a long work of approaching the stone, which he entrusted to experts from his city, Tel Aviv.

The result ?

In particular the famous oval cut diamond which immediately attracts all eyes.

“I wanted to challenge myself by using 15 diamonds in the same set,” she underlines.

“This is a real high jewelry challenge.

Not all stones were the same size.

Some were very original with rather surprising more fancy shapes.
