The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Miqdad, discussed today and Ramtan Lamamra, the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, ways to activate and develop cooperation mechanisms between the two brotherly countries, Syria and Algeria.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Miqdad conveyed to Lamamra the congratulations of the Syrian leadership and people to Algeria, the leadership and people, on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of Algeria's independence.
Dr. Al-Miqdad presented the situation on the Syrian arena and the immoral unilateral coercive measures that are inconsistent with the international humanitarian law imposed on it and the Syrian vision of Arab-Arab relations with the aim of reviving joint Arab action to overcome the difficulties facing all Arab countries.
For his part, Lamamra expressed the Algerian government's readiness to activate and activate mechanisms of cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries in all fields.
The two ministers also touched on the situation on the Arab, regional and international arena and the reality of bilateral relations from various aspects, as it was agreed to find joint mechanisms to advance the pace of bilateral work at all levels.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Namir Al-Ghanim, Syrian Ambassador to Algeria, Osman Saab, Director of the Arab Affairs Department, Dr. Abdullah Hallaq, Director of the Executive Support Department, and from the Algerian side, the advisor to the Algerian Foreign Minister, and a number of Algerian diplomats.
