Moscow, SANA- Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky described the attempts of the European Parliament

Moscow - Sana

The Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky described the European Parliament's attempts to use the frozen Russian assets of the so-called “reconstruction of Ukraine” as a hypocritical step.

Russia Today quoted Slotsex as saying: European officials are moving further and further away from their principles and are ready to legitimize expropriation from its owners, which means that the right of ownership in Europe is valid only for those who recognize the tutelage of Washington and Brussels, and this is a great hypocrisy.

For its part, the Russian Federation Council called for a decisive response to Sofia's freezing of the accounts of the Russian Embassy in Bulgaria, estimated at 900,000 dollars.

Senator Andrei Klichas, Chairman of the Constitutional Law Committee of the Federation Council, expressed his pride in the historical relations that the Bulgarian brothers trampled upon for a long time.

And Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, had announced earlier during her speech to the European Parliament that the Commission was preparing a legal framework for the transfer of frozen Russian assets for use in the reconstruction of Ukraine.

It is noteworthy that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov described earlier the US freezing of foreign assets of various countries as "an outright theft."
