One day I stumbled across MSG into the world of chips. Not only was I surprised, but its breakthrough process in food technology was really encouraging.

From the invention of semiconductor components in the late 1940s, to the increasingly mature production technology of integrated circuits, to the rapid development of nano-computing chips today, one of the success factors is the use of Ajinomoto Build-up Film (ABF). Insulating material, which can protect circuits, fix circuits and dissipate waste heat, has become a key material in the packaging process of micro to nano circuits.

Since 1999, Intel (Intel) has made greater efforts to promote the application on integrated circuit carrier boards.

Today, as more and more major manufacturers of high-end CPUs and chips adopt the finer 7-nanometer process, the demand for high-quality ABF substrates has increased significantly, making its supply very tight.

The treasure of Zhenshan of Japan's Ajinomoto Company is a well-deserved kitchen gift - monosodium glutamate.

In 1907, when Dr. Kikunae Ikeda was enjoying kelp soup, he noticed a unique taste in the food that was different from the four basic tastes of sweet, salty, sour and bitter.

He found that the taste was due to an amino acid called glutamate in protein; the new fifth taste was later named "umami", which means "delicious". essence".

Two years later, the Suzuki brothers commercially developed Mono-Sodium Glutamate (MSG for short), called Ajinomoto, which was the world's first monosodium glutamate made into cooking food.

By the mid-1990s, the company had accumulated a certain amount of experience in the development and application of amino acids, and the then president asked a research team leader, Mr. Koji Takeuchi, to seek innovations and breakthroughs for the commercial application of amino acids.

Mr. Takeuchi was embarrassed, but the innovative solutions that the president guided him must be linked to the needs of people, so that the results of innovation can be multiplied, and he challenged him to apply amino acids to the booming computer industry at that time.

Later, the research team believed that the special insulating properties of the by-products in the process of manufacturing MSG could be used on integrated circuit boards, so they worked hard to develop the liquid by-products into thin-film ABFs.

There are many people with lofty ideals in the global village. In the journey of innovation and breakthrough, there will always be difficulties and setbacks.

However, from the chemical research of monosodium glutamate to its becoming the core material of high-end chips, the practice process has greatly inspired and encouraged our fellow travelers who seek innovation in medical services.

It is as if the core value of their innovation direction must be based on human needs, so that innovation results can have opportunities for sustainable development.

We have a large group of enthusiastic advisors in the HA Kowloon East Cluster, not only IT professionals, but also doctors, nurses and allied health workers. They work together, work tirelessly and unswervingly in the promotion and development of smart medical services.

Our core value, which also coincides with the story of MSG, should focus on and be based on the needs of patients, family members and medical teams, so that advanced technology, innovation in treatment and passion for caring can be combined with each other to move towards a better future. Personal service.

We are also honored to be the pioneer network of the HA to promote smart hospitals.

The delicious taste of monosodium glutamate makes people happy; I believe that the intelligent medical service with human touch is even more!

"Hong Kong 01" "01 Clinic", in cooperation with the Hospital Authority, publishes a column "Garden Tour" written by medical staff every Wednesday.

Apricot Forest.

"Xinglin" comes from the story of Dong Feng, a famous doctor in the Three Kingdoms period. Later generations praised medical care as "Xinglin". Five people from Xinglin from the Hospital Authority led the garden to visit Xinglin Grand View Garden. A little bit of reason.
