Israeli police volunteers from the Golan Rescue Unit rescued a 16-year-old boy from Beit Shemesh who was walking in Nahal Yehudiya near Katzrin.
During the trip he fell and was injured in the leg.
The unit's medical staff, which included a paramedic and paramedics, provided him with initial treatment, and due to the rescuer's presence in a crevice surrounded by cliffs, he was rescued from the depths of the creek on a stretcher using a 100-meter rope system that included two stages.
On the cliff a single extractor came up with the stretcher, and in the second stage (slope with a sharp slope) another extractor connected to the stretcher, while the extractors pulled the ropes up to the path.
From there, the rescuers carried the boy on a stretcher to an MDA ambulance that was waiting at the scene, and evacuated him for further tests.
