A Russian military source announced that the Russian electromagnetic weapon Stobor was used for the first time during the special military operation in Ukraine to counter drones.
In an interview with TASS today, the source said: “The use of this new weapon was completely successful, and it showed a very high efficiency and is easy to use.
On the mechanism of action of the Stupor weapon, the source explained that by directing the aiming device towards the target and simply pressing the button, the Stopor jams the control signal between the operator and the drone, after which the Ukrainian “drone” is neutralized and forced to land in the specified place.
The source did not specify where this new weapon was used, but indicated that its successful use was in the west of the Donetsk People's Republic to confront Ukrainian drones.
