The family of Daniel Matysik, who was allegedly killed in the Gießen district, is making a desperate appeal to the public.

The body has not been found for six years.

Hungen - Six years after the alleged murder of Daniel Matysik on a farm near Hungen (Giessen district), the body has not been found to this day.

Now his parents are making an appeal to the public.

They are offering a sum of money for information leading to the discovery of the remains.

Her wish is to find a final resting place for her son - and to be able to mourn and say goodbye herself.

It's been six years since the last sign of life.

The family was initially plagued by uncertainty, which has given way to restlessness and despair.

Today, after six years, the parents of the suspected murderer Daniel Matysik want one thing above all: bury their son.

Giving his bodily remains a final resting place.

Mourn, say goodbye, find at least a touch of calm for yourself.

Now they are making a desperate call to the public, as reported by giessener-allgemeine.de.

Search for clues to Hungen's murder (Giessen district): "Money no longer plays a role"

"I'm offering a reward of 50,000 euros for anyone who provides us with the decisive clue to finding my son's body," says Helmut Matysek.

Since August last year, two men have had to answer for murder at the Gießen district court.

They are said to have shot the then 39-year-old Daniel Matysik on a horseback riding near Hungen.

However, the body has not been found to this day.

Both defendants blame each other.

In the appeal, Matysik's father now sees a last chance to find the mortal remains.

"Money is no longer an issue for us," says 86-year-old Helmut Matysik, who sits opposite the suspected perpetrators in the courtroom every day of the trial as a joint plaintiff in the ongoing proceedings.

“We just want to finally bury our son.

We need a place for our mourning.«

Hungen/Gießen: investigative options in the trial for murder without a body almost "exhausted"

The two accused, Olaf C. and Robert S., do not deny the murder on November 17, 2016 on the Hofreite near Hungen.

But they accuse each other of the crime.

It is also undisputed that Robert S., a software consultant, dismembered and gutted the corpse.

Then he buried the soft parts in the forest and concreted the remaining human remains in buckets and disposed of them somewhere.

He admitted that.

In addition, this defendant claims that he would have sunk the bucket with the body parts in Lake Starnberg.

The then initiated large search operation in the Bavarian waters was unsuccessful.

At the request of the joint plaintiff, the Sachsensee was later also searched by the police because it was in the immediate vicinity of the crime scene.

This search did not yield any new findings either.

"Without further, concrete information, the investigative possibilities of the judiciary are exhausted," explained lawyer Alexander Hauer in an interview with the newspaper.

The Matysiks know that too.

However, the parents attach certain conditions to the payment of the amount: the accused and their relatives - up to the fourth degree - are not entitled to receive a reward.

Civil servants whose professional duties include the prosecution of criminal acts are also excluded.

Furthermore, only private individuals can receive the reward.

Legal recourse is also excluded.

Private call for witnesses after murder in Hungen (Giessen district): "To be regarded as a motion of no confidence"

These conditions are extremely important to the 86-year-old father, after all he doesn't want anyone involved in the crime to make money from his misfortune.

"This call is not to be interpreted as a motion of no confidence in the judiciary," says attorney Hauer, explaining the parents' step.

"Rather, the couple's last hope is to give their son a Christian burial."

So far, Helmut Matysik has followed every day of the trial to look into the faces of the two people responsible for his son's death.

He is also concerned with the truth of what happened in the last hours of his son's life.

The motives for the crime - like so much else in this process - have not yet been clearly clarified.
