Serbia renewed today its criticism of the hypocrisy policy of the European Parliament by demanding that Belgrade impose sanctions against Russia in exchange for recognition of Kosovo's independence, while he pursues a biased policy in the Ukraine crisis.
“Since the beginning of the crisis in Ukraine, the European Union has been behaving not as a union of states, but as a group of territories that do not have their own policies and their own interests, and for this reason Serbia as an independent state bothers them greatly and at the same time will not submit to their wishes,” RIA Novosti news agency quoted Serbian Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin as saying. He described returning such a request as a hypocritical step.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced earlier today his country's refusal to sign the mutual recognition agreement with Kosovo, despite the decisions and calls of the European Parliament to do so.
