A 29-year-old man from Nazareth was charged today (Wednesday) with attempted murder, aggravated sabotage and carrying a weapon, after shooting a 17-year-old boy in the city about two months ago.

The 17-year-old was rushed to hospital in critical condition, with injuries to his abdomen and leg, where he underwent surgery, was anesthetized and hospitalized for about two months.
At the same time, the prosecution filed a request to detain the young man, Mohand Abbas, until the end of the proceedings.
According to the indictment, filed by Advocate Zvika Abramovich of the Northern District Attorney's Office, Abbas suspected that the boy's family member shot at him and his brother at a bakery in the city. , Abbas arrived with another man at a grocery store owned by the boy's family, where he stayed with his brother and another man.
The indictment further states that Abbas started firing at all those present at the grocery store and first hit the boy's brother, who escaped along with the other person.
As the two fled, Abbas approached the 17-year-old, who was sitting behind the counter and trying to hide under him, and fired several shots at him to kill him.
