Despite the impact of the war’s repercussions on the industrial sector, including the ready-to-wear industry, the manufacturers’ insistence continues to produce and develop work and maintain the industry’s position and global reputation at an increasing pace through the presence of many facilities that produce and assist in the production of clothing and fabric components, which provides consumers with wide options in terms of Models, colors, quality and prices.

And Muhammad Jalal al-Bunni, from a company for the manufacture of clothes, said in a statement to SANA reporter that work is continuing to secure the needs of the local market, and it depends on continuous participation in events and sales festivals with the aim of reaching the consumer directly and shortening trade circles to reduce prices by more than 30% while maintaining quality, pointing out that there are difficulties encountered The production process is represented by the difficulty of importing raw materials such as fabrics and accessories, in addition to frequent power cuts, high fuel prices, lack of skilled labor and high wages, which increases the cost of the final product.

In turn, Hisham Masalkhi, a clothing merchant, stressed the importance of giving full support to the issue of local industrial production by reducing production costs and providing its requirements, in addition to reducing fees and taxes and facilitating the process of importing the necessary raw materials, especially for the textile sector and the ready-made garment industry.

For his part, the head of the Craft Association for Tailors, Mustafa Bakour, explained that there are difficulties in the workflow, such as the lack of expert manpower and low wages, in addition to the lack of raw materials, since most of the cotton threads and fabrics available are imported. The shortage of manpower, calling for providing all the support needed by this sector of energy carriers, in addition to holding promotional festivals for the disposal of products.

For his part, Abdel-Jalil Zeidan, a member of the General Authority of the Tailors Crafts Association, stressed the importance of the role played by the association, such as securing places for craftsmen in the craft industrial areas where the elements of work such as electric power, infrastructure and marketing tools are available, which reduces production costs and leads to its increase, in addition to supporting young craftsmen through Giving them financial loans with low interest rates.

A number of citizens spoke in the markets, including Rahaf Al-Hamid, who said that there is a wide variety to suit all tastes, and their prices vary according to their quality. Muhammad Al-Afif said that he went to buy clothes for his children of lower quality, so that he could buy his family's needs and save part of the money for the rest of the requirements of the holiday in light of the high the prices.
