Kaufering – In a Bavarian final, the Red Hocks and FC Stern Munich decided to win the German championship among themselves, just as they did a few weeks before with the U17s.

In the final of the U15 juniors in Hanover, the team from Lech prevailed again, this time with 7:3.

It is the seventh national title for a junior floorball team from Kaufering.

After a spotless start, including a 16:6 win over Floorball Griedel and a 15:2 win against BW 96 Schenefeld against SC DHfK Leipzig, Kaufering failed to take a 5:3 lead five minutes before the end.

First the Red Hocks conceded the quick connection, then two avoidable penalties, which first led to an equalizer (38th) and then to a 5:6 overtime defeat (40th + 1st).

Second in their group, the Red Hocks kept their chances of the title alive.

With the experience of their two defeats and as supposed underdogs, they should put on an extremely strong run the next day.

The team was initially quite crushed after losing the group win, says coach Norman Krevet.

"In addition, we had to do without two strong players for a short time, so we had to play around with the ranks, it wasn't easy."

Overrun in the semifinals

Bonn, who made the strongest impression both individually and as a team on Saturday, was overrun by the Red Hocks at times, especially in the first half.

John Blümke on Ferdinand Reichenberger, this combination ensured the first three goals in Kaufering (3rd, 8th, 11th).

Bonn seemed to have lost its freshness overnight, Niklas Schweyer and Gregor Denk went up to 5:0 in less than 30 seconds.

"We were in a great mood," praised Coach Krevet.

Again Schweyer (15th) and Jonas Rubenwolf (18th) even extended the lead before Bonn's offensive reported back.

What the Dragons are capable of was still evident during the break, but because Kaufering defended solidly in the second half and goalkeeper Dominik Fellner was there, the Red Hocks made it into the final 11:5.

There, both teams could see the consuming program, the pure will had to make up for the lack of freshness.

Kaufering ran into the gang a few times, enabling Munich to counterattack.

"Stern demanded a lot from us in the Bavarian derby for gold," breathes Kaufering's coach Krevet.

However, his Red Hocks took advantage of the few opportunities that came up.

After Imo Ziemendorf had answered the interim Kauferinger 2-0 by Niklas Schweyer (12) after an intercepted pass and Gregor Denk with a shot from the middle (19) with a powerful shot (19th), Jonathan Krevet muddled the ball before the Break from an acute angle to 3:1 in goal.

At the beginning of the second half, more came together for the Reds: Blümke first used a power play (22nd) and then a penalty (23rd).

At the latest after he was outnumbered to 6:1 (27th), a preliminary decision was made.

Dennis Häbel (28th) and Seeman (36th) shortened, but Denk's 7:3 was the final point (37th) - the title of the German U15 champion went to the Red Hocks for the second time after 2018.

"After the Corona break, we had little idea how strong the teams in the other regions were, but we already focused on the cup due to our own strong season," says Kaufering's coach Krevet happily.

"Thanks to Hannover 96 as the organizer for the successful floorball festival, we felt very comfortable there."
