Damascus-SANA
In an atmosphere full of hope, joy and life, about 60 children from the buds of the Dar Al-Rahma Orphanage presented a variety of artistic performances on the Roman theater stage in Tishreen Park, as part of the activities of the 42nd Flower Show.
The performances included expressive dancing, folkloric and patriotic paintings that sang the glories of Damascus, in addition to reciting a group of poems through which children expressed their love for their homeland.
Director of Al-Ansar Association for Orphans Care Walid Al-Kafiri said in a statement to SANA that the aim of this event is to send a message that orphaned children have the ability to actively participate and present all their energies, talents and capabilities, pointing out that this is their third participation in the activities of the International Flower Show.
The events also included a dance theatrical performance by the Mahra Dance Theatrical Troupe, led by artist Maher Hamami, who presented exhibition panels entitled Khawabina, through which they embodied the victories of the Syrian Arab Army men who sacrificed their blood for the soil of the homeland.
The artist, Nizar Al-Badin, also presented a review segment of cartoon characters, in which the children and parents participated in their joy and drew laughter on the faces of the audience.
The activities concluded with the screening of the movie The Last Breakfast, a script and directed by Abdel Latif Abdel Hamid, produced by the General Film Organization, starring Abdel Moneim Amayri and Canada Hanna, along with a number of other artists, presenting deep human worlds about the loss of people and places due to the war, so that memory plays its game in recalling those who are absent and bringing them back to life. Life in a way that is not without a magical atmosphere.
