The Department of Health stated that it was informed by the Hospital Authority yesterday (June 6) that all suspected cases of sepsis after intravenous glutathione injection by non-medical staff in Yau Ma Tei, the 25-year-old woman was in good health. Symptoms such as fever and headache soon appeared.
She went to the Accident and Emergency Department of North Lantau Hospital on the 5th of this month and was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment on the same day. She was clinically diagnosed with suspected sepsis and is currently in stable condition.
Received ten injections at the Yau Ma Tei premises
According to the information provided by the patient, she received ten intravenous glutathione injections at the same location, and the last injection was given on the 5th of this month. The investigation of the case will continue.
