A senior official of the Paris police headquarters, accused of having assaulted a cyclist in mid-March while riding an unmarked motorcycle, has been targeted since Monday by an investigation by the IGPN, the prosecution said Thursday, July 7. from Paris, confirming information from Mediapart.
The police officer in question is the assistant to the director of public order and traffic (DOPC) of the PP, Alexis Marsan, for his part confirmed a source close to the file.
Asked by AFP, the police headquarters was not able to respond immediately.
Ten days of ITT
The facts date back to March 16.
As he travels on a quay of the Seine in a lane reserved for buses and bicycles, the cyclist says that a motorcyclist, without any distinctive sign, comes up to him.

His multiple dermabrasions and hematomas earned him ten days of ITT.
On getting up, he memorizes the motorcycle's license plate and learns, when he lodges a complaint, that it does indeed belong to a policeman from the police headquarters.
His complaint, "
for facts which he describes as violence by a person holding public authority
", is first sent to the Service for the judicial treatment of accidents (STJA), according to the Paris prosecutor's office.

The cyclist, reconvened on April 27 at the STJA to be auditioned, reiterates his story and files a new complaint.
The next day, Alexis Marsan in turn filed a complaint "
for facts which he describes as non-assistance to a person in danger and refusal to comply

Since Monday, the investigation into the facts denounced by the cyclist has been in the hands of the IGPN, after a report made by the latter on the platform of the “
