- In the spring of 2021, you predicted “the great resignation” that would occur in the United States.
What elements allowed you to predict this phenomenon?

I had the impression that the events of 2020 were going to cause an increase in the number of resignations for four main reasons.
First, an economic factor was to lead to this peak in resignations coming out of the pandemic: 2020 was a period of great uncertainty, layoffs and economic recession.
There has therefore been a lag in resignations in the economy;
many people who, if 2020 had been a normal year, would have left their jobs, waited for a relative return to normal to take the plunge.
The second element to take into account is the burnout of employees.
This problem was already known but it took on another dimension during the pandemic.
