We see the Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, answering the telephone with the following words:
"The problem, Boris, is that you have already come several times..."
We understand that the British Prime Minister, in the midst of political turmoil, proposes to go to Kyiv again.
His visits to Ukraine and his activism on this tragic international scene were the only moments of truce for Boris Johnson.
On the home front, the past few months have been one long ordeal for him.
And he ultimately did not survive politically the guerrilla war that had been going on for months around the "Partygate" and other scandals.
More than his political choices, Boris Johnson today pays for his way of living and governing.
It had been said changed, however.
Deeply, like any man who has walked for a time on the edge of the great abyss.
