The Ministry of Tourism announced the extension of the period of the 42nd session of the flower exhibition, which it is holding in cooperation with the Damascus Governorate in Tishreen Park, until the twelfth of this month.

In a statement to SANA reporter, the Director of Damascus Tourism, Eng. Zuhair Erzurumli, said that the extension came due to the high demand that the exhibition witnessed during the past days and to provide the opportunity for the largest number of people wishing to visit it during the Eid al-Adha holiday, noting that entry to the exhibition during the Eid is free.

Erzurumli pointed out that cultural and entertainment events, theatrical performances and concerts will continue until the end of the exhibition, but what is new during the days of Eid (circus performances), pointing out that the focus of activities during the Eid period will be on children.

The Flower Exhibition was launched in its 42nd session on the 22nd of last June and includes cities for flowers and ornamental plants, a book fair, a reading corner, games for children, a zoo, an open-air cinema and displays of traditional crafts. The exhibition is also accompanied by a number of activities and artistic events.
