A lot of fear tonight in Milan for a fire in a building in the city center, but luckily the intervention of the firefighters made it possible to better solve what could have become a tragedy.

At around 8 pm a request for intervention was received at the Fire Brigade Operations Center: for reasons not yet ascertained, a violent fire had broken out in an apartment on the fifth and top floor of the building in via Cesare Correnti.

A 28-year-old girl, who came out of the skylight on the roof, was saved in a complex operation because the fire trucks had to pay attention to the electric wires for the current of trams and public transport.

As well as at least five other people were saved who were stuck in the building either by the flames or by the smoke.

Fortunately - according to what was confirmed by the carabinieri - no one was seriously injured or intoxicated.

Above all a strong shock.

For precautionary reasons, an old woman was taken - in green code - to San Giuseppe.

The fire required the intervention of many vehicles: it was put out but, after three hours, it has not yet been completely extinguished.

The palace has been completely evacuated and it is believed that there is no one left inside.
