Faced with a "mutiny" within his government and the Conservative Party, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson finally let go.
This Thursday, the day after a dark day marked by an avalanche of departures from the cabinet and ever-increasing calls to leave, he will resign from the head of the Conservative Party, according to the BBC.
“Boris Johnson will step down as Conservative leader today (Thursday)” and “remain Prime Minister until the fall,” says the BBC.
The Prime Minister will address the British on Thursday, says Downing Street.
