A violent accident has occurred in the Upper Palatinate.
A car crashed into a parked pickup truck with three people standing next to it.
Hohenfels – There was a serious accident in the Upper Palatinate.
In Hohenfels in the district of Neumarkt, early Thursday evening, July 7, a car crashed into a van parked on a gravel path next to the road, reports

Its occupants were next to the car at the time of the accident.
Two people were seriously injured, one woman did not survive.

Shortly before 6 p.m., a 20-year-old accompanied a 17-year-old on state road 2234 in the direction of Hohenfels.
Shortly before the village of Fuchsmühle, the young man came into the oncoming lane in a curve for reasons that have not yet been clarified and then left the road.
At the same time, a pickup truck was parked on a small gravel path next to the road.
The three occupants of the car stayed next to the vehicle and rested.
The car that went off the road collided with the pickup truck.
The accident also caught the resting group of people.

Serious accident in Bavaria: one dead, two seriously injured
A 36-year-old man from the group of people next to the pickup truck was injured so badly that he died at the scene of the accident.
His companion, a 25-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man, were seriously injured.
A rescue helicopter took her to a hospital in Regensburg.
The occupants of the car, the 20-year-old driver and his 17-year-old companion, were slightly injured.
They too were taken to a hospital.
An expert was called in to determine the cause of the accident.
Fire brigades from several nearby locations were on duty at the scene of the accident.
