US President Joe Biden has to fill another senior position in his communications staff.

Communications director Kate Bedingfield will also leave Biden's government team to spend more time with her husband and children, the White House said in a briefing on Wednesday.

Just weeks after the departure of his spokeswoman Jen Psaki, Biden formally loses another experienced woman for public relations.

Bedingfield had worked for Biden for the past three years, organizing his public relations work first during the campaign and then in the White House.

She had also worked for the Democrats during Biden's time as vice president.

"Without the talent and perseverance of Kate Bedingfield, Donald Trump might still be in the White House," Biden's chief of staff Ron Klain said of Bedingfield's departure.

"She has played a huge role in everything the President has achieved." From now on, Bedingfield will play an important role "from the outside" in advancing Biden's agenda.

Bedingfield's departure comes just months before the crucial midterm congressional elections in November - and amid a string of exits in Biden's circle.

Biden's spokeswoman Psaki only left the White House in May.

Other employees from the public relations department have also recently given up their posts.

Democrats are becoming increasingly restless

Meanwhile, Democratic politicians are increasingly frustrated by the president's reticent demeanor in the face of domestic problems and setbacks.

The Republicans, on the other hand, recently celebrated successes with the overturning of a landmark judgment on abortion rights by the Supreme Court and a relaxation of gun laws.

The uncertain economic situation and high inflation are further increasing the pressure on the President.

According to a survey by the Reuters news agency, 57 percent of Americans are currently dissatisfied with Biden's performance.

Voices in the ruling party calling for a more combative president are getting louder.

The Democratic Party is threatened with losing its majority in the Senate and House of Representatives in the fall elections.
