Light aircraft crashes in Bavaria: pilot and co-pilot are seriously injured

A plane crashed in Bavaria.
Pilot and co-pilot - both from Upper Bavaria - were seriously injured in the accident.
Tuntenhausen - Two people were injured when a light aircraft crashed in the Tuntenhausen area (Rosenheim district) on Wednesday, July 6th.

At around 4:20 p.m., the operations center received calls saying that a plane had crashed near Tuntenhausen in an undeveloped area.
The police said in a press release.
Shortly thereafter, the police found at the scene of the accident that it was a light aircraft manufactured by Zlin Aviation, model Savage.
The co-pilot, an 80-year-old man from the Miesbach district, had already been freed from the wreck.
The pilot, a 61-year-old from the Ebersberg district, was still trapped in the plane.
He had to be freed by firefighters.
Both were seriously injured and taken to hospitals by rescue helicopters.
Kripo investigates after plane crash in Tuntenhausen
On behalf of the criminal police, officers from the permanent criminal investigation service (KDD) carried out the first investigations into the cause of the accident at the scene of the accident.
They were assisted by an expert.
The Kripo Rosenheim is leading the further investigations.
"So far, the officials have known that the two men with the light aircraft had presumably taken off from the Antersberg airfield (Tuntenhausen municipality)," said the police.
The Kripo Rosenheim is now also asking for witnesses:

Who may have seen the light aircraft in the air at takeoff or after?

People who were at or near the scene of the accident as first aiders are also asked to
to report to the CID under the telephone number (08031) 2000.
A small plane recently crashed in the district of Roth, south of Nuremberg. There were two dead.
