Ten minutes from Be'er Sheva, in Lehavim - is this spacious house whose owners wanted to design like a resort on an exotic island.

The designer responded to the challenge and combined natural materials such as wood, concrete and metal with touches of turquoise.

that led this project from the beginning was a resort in one of the most exotic islands in the world - green nature Entering the house, warm wood, black iron, concrete, rust and of course turquoise color, which is repeated as

a

motif in the pool water that surrounds the house, and is reflected from the windows, and continues in the kitchen and other rooms in the house.

"They are such people, rooted and real, connected to nature, to simplicity, love to entertain and open their hearts and home. They asked that there should not be a cold and alienated home, as sometimes happens in modern homes. So the choice of materials here was critical, and from the beginning Me in the project, at every stage, "said Malka.

The main space of the house is large and spacious, and as soon as you enter, there is a unique image of a pampering public space, which connects the living room, dining area and kitchen.

Throughout the entire space, through the Belgian windows, is the pool that crosses the house along its length.

An encounter of unconventional materials.

The turquoise hue, which reappears as a motif in the entire house, first appears in the kitchen, where facades were chosen in nano-formica cladding, in a special and unconventional shade, into which wood is embedded in several places, the dominant one being the large and pampering island at its center.

The surface on the island shows an unusual combination of materials.

"I decided that part of the island would be covered with marble and the other part with wood, to create a special and different connection of cold and warm materials, a connection that can be seen in all the spaces of the house," says the designer.

The spacious living room is equipped with eclectic style furniture items, which give it a warm and harmonious look.

Malka connected a luxurious sofa, with an armchair and footstool, and a pair of straw chairs with a lighter look, and the resulting combination is balanced and natural.

Due to the enormous size of the central space, it was decided to divide it using wooden beams, which descend from the ceiling and are literally embedded in the supporting walls.

The way the beams traverse the space divides its size into easier-to-digest portions for the observing eye and also equates it to a warmer atmosphere.

The lighting that Malka designed in the space was also intended to create a reference and connection to these wooden beams.

The master bedroom is a luxurious and large suite, with a large window overlooking the outdoor pool.

Under the window, Malka placed a wooden bench that stretched along the entire wall, creating an inviting seating area that overlooks the beautiful landscape.

This room also has a unique storage system, a transparent, opaque part, located in the transition between the bedroom and the parents' bathroom.

"There is a harmonious and inviting connection between the selected materials for the room - the wooden parquet on the floor, the wooden bench under the window, the bed wall covered with beautiful turquoise wallpaper, which contributes depth and color to the room, and of course the special closet system. , Wood and black iron) ", explains the designer.

Received a coveted location.

Each of the children's rooms received a separate treatment, after clarifying the child's needs, character and age.

The son was given a room with a particularly coveted "location", with most of the room literally kissing the pool, and through the large window it is exposed in every exclusion.

His shower has a beautiful turquoise shower cabinet, combined with a black-and-white floor, creating an unusual and very interesting look to the eye.

They asked for minimalist style furniture, and their request was granted.

It cannot be defined as rustic or modern.

Another prominent element in the house is the shade of rust, which appears for example in the front door which is a hinged door (PIVOT), made of iron that is specially painted to create a rust-like look, and also in lighting fixtures designed and manufactured especially for some of the spaces in the house.

"There is a house here with character, with unique connections that create something different," says Malka.

"It is a house with a connection to nature and a combination of materials that in my eyes has created a completely new style. A warm and natural style that cannot be defined as rustic or modern," she added.
