The epidemic situation in Macau is still severe. The Novel Coronavirus Infection Response and Coordination Center said today (7th) that 128 new positive cases were added within 24 hours yesterday, including 41 cases in the red code area and medical observation hotels, which were found under control; 36 were close contacts. There are 38 positive cases in the national nucleic acid and key groups, and 13 cases in other groups, which are found in the community; a total of 1,215 cases have been reported since June 18.

The Macau Novel Coronavirus Infection Response and Coordination Center stated that as of 8:00 this morning, a total of 15,116 people have been followed up through epidemiological investigations, including 2,556 core close contacts and 9,498 non-core close contacts (that is, people with a common trajectory). There were 792 close contacts, 331 general contacts and 722 accompanying persons.
The fifth round of nationwide nucleic acid testing started at 9:00 a.m. yesterday (6th). The Novel Coronavirus Infection Response Coordination Center stated that as of 8:00 a.m., 492,769 people had been sampled, of which 428,465 had been tested and were negative. A total of 30 mixed samples were positive.
