Man drowned during snorkeling on Green Egg Island in Clearwater Bay

A man fell into a coma on Green Egg Island in Clearwater Bay and died after being sent to hospital for rescue. At about 3 pm today (7th), the police received a report that a man was unconscious at Green Egg Island off Clear Water Bay.

At about 3 pm today (7th), the police received a report on Green Egg Island off Clear Water Bay that a man was unconscious. Marine police and fire services were called to the scene.

The man was later rescued and sent to the Marine Police Base. He was transferred by ambulance to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for treatment, but was later certified dead.

According to the news at the scene, the victim and a group of 6 people traveled today. Marine police officers seized a waterproof bag with a pair of fins at the scene. The cause of the incident is being investigated.
