At about 8 am today (7th), a fatal industrial accident occurred in Jade Garden, No. 105 Robinson Road, Mid-levels of Hong Kong Island. A 56-year-old worker surnamed Hong fell from the 10th floor during the demolition work at the site and was seriously injured. He was sent to hospital Confirmed death.

According to sources, 25 workers were carrying out demolition work at the site at 8:00 this morning. The male worker involved and a worker were dismantling walls and clearing mud on the 10th floor rooftop.
It is known that a hole of about 1 meter by 1 meter is dug on each floor from the roof to the ground, so that the workers can dump the mud directly to the ground.
At the time of the incident, the entrance of the hole was not surrounded by a fence. The male worker involved accidentally tripped over the entrance of the hole and fell directly to the ground from the entrance on the 10th floor.
