Even if Corona is not currently bothering the lessons, the topic of ventilation of classrooms, clinic rooms and offices remains on the agenda - also in the district as the carrier of the secondary schools.
Erding - At the peak of the pandemic, the well-known mobile air filter was purchased for all classrooms.
The next step is to install new and upgrade existing (fixed) ventilation systems.
The district can rely on considerable funding from the federal government.
In the building committee of the district council, Matthias Huber from the property management reported on Wednesday that the basic determination had been completed and that a list of priorities had been drawn up.
The committee gave the green light for the first two points.
The Anne-Frank-Gymnasium and the specialist rooms in the secondary schools in Erding and Taufkirchen have top priority.
Huber estimated the installation of stationary ventilation at around 5.9 million euros, of which the federal government will pay 1.9 million.
Stage two includes the modernization of various existing systems, for example by increasing the air volume.
Cost: around 1.7 million euros/funding: around 800,000 euros.
According to Huber, priority three includes retrofitting all classrooms with decentralized ventilation (€25.4 million).
This will be followed over the next few years by the modernization of newer systems (€1.2 million) and, in the long term, the newest (€2 million).
Huber pointed out that the funding notifications issued so far expired between December of this year and May 2023.
Therefore, the committee decided that the administration should endeavor to extend the commitments for as long as possible and to work on the first two priorities first.
The clinic is considered separately.
