The deputy prosecutor of Milan, Letizia Mannella, and the prosecutors Rosaria Stagnaro and Paolo Filippini
asked for a sentence of 8 years in prison and an 80 thousand euro fine for Alberto Genovese,
a former web entrepreneur accused of raping, after having made them unconscious with a mix of cocaine and ketamine, two models: one of 18, during a party on 10 October 2020 in her penthouse Terrazza Sentimento overlooking the Duomo, the other of 23, a guest in a luxury villa in Ibiza in the previous July .
The request was formulated in the shortened trial before the gup Chiara Valori.
The sentence will come in September.
For the ex-girlfriend of the entrepreneur, Sarah Borruso, accused of complicity in the violence on the Spanish island, the prosecutors asked for 2 years and 8 months.
"I was abusing drugs, I no longer controlled reality and I realized only later, watching those videos, that the girl had expressed her dissent", said Genovese, questioned in the last hearing and crying at the end, to try to justify her behavior about the 18-year-old in the luxury penthouse, in line with a defensive advice that spoke of a mental defect due to the massive use of cocaine.
Genovese, present in the courtroom and under house arrest in a clinic to detoxify himself, is accused of aggravated sexual violence, possession and transfer of drugs and injuries.
The requests for sentencing came at the end of the prosecution of the prosecutors divided into three parts (Mannella introduced the events, Stagnaro spoke of the specific facts and Filippini of the so-called subjective element of the crimes).
Genovese claimed that he did not remember much of that long October night and that only after seeing the CCTV footage of the room did he understand that the young woman had asked him to stop.
While he at that moment would have perceived her 'no' as part of an "economic bargaining", so much so that he burned, according to his version, the money he had given her.
On the case of Ibiza (there are testimonies and not images), the former founder of digital start-ups had defended himself by talking about "consenting relationships",
but also saying that he understood that she was very ill that evening only now that she is in the community.
While the ex-girlfriend said she was very much in love with her, she practically dominated him, but that she did not abuse the 23-year-old in any way.
