The court has scheduled hearings until July 19, 2023. The other issues that will be addressed after the summer break will concern the possible exclusion of civil culprits, ie those who will pay in case of conviction.

 The court of Genoa in the first hearing for the collapse of the Morandi bridge authorized the transfer, requested by the public prosecutor Massimo Terrile, of most of the finds of the Morandi bridge which are still preserved in an area under the bridge where the memorial for the victims and a technological pole.

The finds will be transferred "without being modified to a shed in Trasta" explained the prosecutor and "the costs will not be borne by this procedure because Autostrade per l'Italia has made it known that it will take care of the transfer itself, of the location of the shed. and guardianship ".

The transfer will start in September and will last a few months.

The president of the court Paolo Lepri authorized the parties with their consultants to participate in the operations.

Victims Committee: 'We hope the truth emerges'

For the collapse of the Morandi bridge, the motorway viaduct collapsed on 14 August 2018 causing the death of 43 people,

there are 59 people accused, including former managers and technicians of Autostrade and Spea (the company that dealt with maintenance and inspections), current and former managers of the Ministry of Infrastructure and officials of the Superintendency.

The accusations, for various reasons, are multiple culpable homicide, road homicide, willful collapse, omission of official acts, attack on transport safety, forgery and willful omission of safety devices in the workplace.

For the prosecution, most of the defendants imagined that the bridge could collapse but they did nothing.

Aspi and Spea came out of the process by negotiating about 30 million.

Bridge: Orange Committee brings 180 civil applications 


There are 180 requests for a civil action presented by the Orange Zone Committee at the trial for the collapse of the Morandi Bridge.
