Moscow - Russia has repeatedly threatened the West since the start of the Ukraine war.
Most recently, this threat hit the United States.
The background is America's efforts to set up an international war tribunal against Russia, as reported by the

The US could face "God's wrath" if it persisted in holding such a tribunal, said Dmitry Medvedev, deputy secretary of Russia's Security Council.
He warned that the idea of punishing the country (Russia) with the greatest nuclear power would threaten the existence of the entire human race.

The deputy secretary of the Security Council led by Vladimir Putin accused the US of spreading destruction and hatred across the world in the name of "true democracy".

Medvedev is not the only one fueling tensions between the US and Russia.
The chairman of the Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, a close ally of Putin, recently threatened the United States, as

Russia: US could lose Alaska
Unlike Medvedev, Volodin is not interested in calling for an international tribunal to investigate alleged war crimes committed by Russia.
The sanctions against Russia are the focus for the chairman of the State Duma.

He warned the US that Russia could "take back" Alaska.
If the US continues to freeze Russian assets abroad, the US state of Alaska could soon be part of Russia again, Volodin warned
